Beijing is the capital city and a beautiful cultural center. Numerous historical monuments scattered across the vast territory are vestiges of the ancient Chinese culture. These include: the Great Wall, the Forbidden City. Shanghai is largest city and the major business center with many commercial opportunities and modern attrations for the visitor while Hong Kong has been an important trading port for nearly as long as China has existed. This colonial history has left it’s mark on Hong Kong and much of the architecture has a European flair with afternoon tea still a popular pastime. These destinations give one a great introduction to Chinese history, culture and frood from 5,000 years ago to today.
